COVID-19 Update: Student Accessibility Services will remain open throughout Spring 2020 with normal hours. Any student with an approved accommodation that has given their faculty their accommodation letter should expect that their accommodations will continue in the online environment. Appointments and check-ins with SAS will continue via phone or video conference beginning March 16. The process for registering for accommodations will proceed normally. After March 13, all exam accommodations will be monitored by instructors online .

Student Accessibility Services, at Tufts University, promotes an accessible college experience for students with disabilities, whether they are taking classes online or in person. We support undergraduate and graduate students in the Schools of Arts & Sciences and Engineering (including SMFA students), as well as Fletcher students, in developing self-advocacy skills, empowering them at Tufts and beyond. SAS also advocates for an inclusive and diverse Tufts community through education and collaborative campus partnerships.

Facebook Live, March 23 and April 3, 2020

The circumstances surrounding COVID-19 have generated a lot of uncertainty for students. To help answer questions and address concerns, we invited all AS&E students to join President Monaco, Dean Nancy Thompson of Student Affairs, and Monique Dubois, '21, of Tufts Mutual Aid on Facebook Live on March 23. Deans Jim M. Glaser (Arts and Sciences) and Jianmin Qu (Engineering) also joined the conversation.

To help answer additional questions 关于 academic support, events, financial aid, and other topics, we hosted a second Facebook Live session on April 3 with Join Sylvester Bracey, '20, and Carolina Olea Lezama, '22, of the TCU Senate, as well as Dean Nancy Thompson, Dean Christopher Rossi, Dean Nandi Bynoe, Dean Kirsten Behling, John Wescott of Campus Life, Joshua Hartman of Residential Life, Margot Cardamone of the FIRST Resource Center, and Patricia Reilly of Financial Aid.

The Haven at College Virtual Outpatient Center

The Haven at College, in collaboration with Tufts, provides college students with outpatient treatment and recovery programs for mental health and substance-use disorders. The Haven is now admitting students to its confidential virtual outpatient program. All online outpatient services are covered by Tufts' student health insurance. Students can connect with like-minded peers who, along with Haven clinicians, provide community, accountability, and relief from isolation during this challenging time. Treatment services include group, individual, and family therapy; case management; and life skills and educational sessions; as well as recovery coaching; family support; online recovery meetings; and online peer support. Learn more about all their programs at thehavenatcollege.com.
